David Bowie's last album, "Blackstar," debuted number one on the Billboard
The album was released 2 days before he died of cancer on January 10.
It is first U.S chart topper for the late musician. On 8th of January, the last album of Bowie "Blackstar" was released, since then almost174,000 copies have been sold according to Nielsen Music. It has become best sales week for Bowie since Nielsen started tracking his album sales electronically in 1991.
Bowie has extricated previously Adele's "25", which then slipped to the 2nd after remaining 7 weeks on the top.
The compilation released in 2002, "Best of Bowie", with 94,000 units sold worldwide has also rocketed up the Billboard charts to No.4
Altogether, 10 of the Bowie albums are now on Billboard's top 200, with 1972 classic "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars" on No.21
