So caffeine is a common thing in our daily life, but if you are drinking too much and specially too late in the day this can definitely affect your sleep but if you cut down on it, it’ll definitely improve your sleep.  Alcohol does makes you feel sleepy, but it doesn’t interfere with quality of sleep. Smoking on the other hand doesn’t cure insomnia either. Any form of nicotine cigarette, cigar or chewing tobacco has nicotine in it and nicotine is essential nervous system stimulant so of course you are not going to fall asleep if you are smoking or anything before bed

Stress and Anxiety

Stress and anxiety can be big contributors to insomnia and everyone experience it, the main goal here is to avoid your anxious thoughts before bed and if you are going to bed with your anxious thoughts, this going to subconsciously interfere with the quality of your sleep. If you can’t sleep and you are lying on bed the best thing is you get up and do something relaxing and if you are suffering from any depression or any mental disorder you have to go and see your doctor, and get treated for that because this is the underlying cause of your insomnia.
